The line most quotes hide

Ask whether chemicals are included, or billed on top.

A $99 monthly rate with chemicals separate can finish above a $149 all-in rate once July and August arrive and chlorine demand doubles. It is the single most common way a pool service quote turns out to mean something different from what you agreed. Ours are included, always.

What moves the price of pool service

Pool size

More water is more chemical, every week, forever.

Screened or open pool

An open pool under oaks is a different job from a screened one – and it is the debris, not the water, that drives it.

Tree cover over the pool

A pool under heavy oak canopy is a different job from one in the open. Baskets fill faster and the filter loads faster.

Salt or chlorine

Roughly a wash weekly. A salt cell needs attention two to four times a year on top.

Pool condition at the start

A neglected pool costs more to bring back than it costs to keep.

What other pool companies charge nearby

Of nine local pool company websites checked in September 2026, only three showed a price anywhere. Those that do advertise roughly $99 to $175 a month for weekly cleaning, and one advertises from about $31 to $40 a week. We publish ours so you can put them side by side.

Ours are the same in every town on the route: pool service in Deltona, DeBary, Orange City, Sanford, Lake Mary, Osteen, Lake Helen – everything inside the ten-mile service area.

Pool service cost questions

How much does pool service cost in Florida?

Published rates from companies serving Volusia and Seminole County sit around $99 to $175 a month for weekly cleaning, with some advertising from roughly $31 to $40 a week. What moves the number is pool size, whether it is screened, how much tree cover it sits under, and whether chemicals are included or billed on top – which is the line most quotes hide.

Is a monthly price or a weekly price better?

Watch which one includes chemicals. A low monthly rate with chemicals billed separately can land well above a higher all-in rate once August arrives and chlorine demand doubles. Ask what a bad month looks like, not what a good one costs.

How much does it cost to clear a green pool?

Green-to-clean is quoted separately because it takes several visits over three to five days, a lot of chemical, and repeated filter cleaning. A pool standing long enough to stain the plaster, or with stabilizer too high for chlorine to work, may need water replaced instead – cheaper than weeks of chemicals that cannot win.

Do I pay more for a salt pool?

Usually not for the weekly visit. Salt pools need less chlorine bought but more acid, and the cell needs attention every three to six months. Anyone telling you a salt pool is maintenance-free has not serviced one in Florida.

What do extras cost?

Extras are priced from a published list and always quoted and approved in writing, by text or email, before we do them. Salt, added: $25 per 40 lb bag. Phosphate remover treatment: $40 per treatment. Stabilizer boost: $20 per 4 lb. Algae spot treatment: $35 per treatment. Extra visit outside your schedule: $50 per visit. Storm debris cleanup: $75 per hour. DE filter breakdown and grid clean: $125 per breakdown. Filter teardown clean: $200 per clean. Four-cartridge filter upgrade: $25 per month. Yearly cartridge replacement and green pool recovery are quoted per pool. The full list is on this page.
