What weekly pool cleaning in Deltona includes
Every weekly visit is the same visit, in the same order, so nothing gets skipped on a hot day. Here is what you are paying for, one line at a time, because a quote that just says "weekly service" cannot be compared with anyone else's.
- Surface and floor. The surface is netted, the floor is vacuumed when there is anything on it, and the walls, steps, benches and waterline are brushed. Brushing is what stops algae getting a foothold, and it is the first step dropped when a company is running late.
- Baskets. Skimmer and pump baskets are emptied so the pump keeps pulling and the filter keeps catching.
- Five readings, every week. Free chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, stabilizer and calcium hardness are tested on site and the water is dosed to put them back in range. The chemicals are in the monthly price.
- Filter pressure. We read the gauge every visit and backwash or rinse when the pressure says so, not when the calendar does.
- Filter clean, monthly or as needed. The filter itself is cleaned once a month, or sooner when the gauge calls for it: cartridges pulled and hosed, DE backwashed and recharged with fresh powder. That labor is in the monthly price; the cartridges, DE grids and DE powder are parts, billed separately and quoted first. Yearly cartridge replacement is not included: it is an extra, quoted before we do it. A four-cartridge filter takes four times the cleaning labor, so it is a $25 a month upgrade. A full DE breakdown (grids pulled, cleaned and inspected) is an extra, $125, done when the pressure says it is due and quoted first.
- Equipment glance. Pump, skimmer, returns and any salt cell are looked at. Anything starting to fail is named in your note and referred to a licensed pool contractor.
- Photo and note. A picture of the water and a short note after each visit, so you know we came even when you were out.
Two things are separate and quoted on their own: calcium removal from the waterline tile, and recovering a pool that has already gone green. Filter parts are billed separately too, and yearly cartridge replacement is an extra. Extras and their prices are listed on the pool cleaning cost page, and none is done without your written okay. More on what a filter cleaning involves is on its own page.
